The Great Demise – Mahaparinirvan !
The great demise or Mahaparinirvan of Dr. Ambedkar took place on 6th December (past twelve night) due to diabetes, as reported, but amidst mystery and suspicion, as alleged by His associates Nanakchand Rattu, Shankarand Shastri and others. The Saxena Commission Report in this regard is not yet made public by the Indian Government. At the time of death He rest alone in the room, with wife Savita Ambedkar in the Bunglow, at 26, Alipure Road, Delhi. The last ceremony was performed in Buddhist manner at Rajgrah and Dadar crematorium with Buddhist Monks chanting the Suttas. Over a million people mourned the event! The mortal remains lay rested in Dadar, Mumbai, at ChaityaBhoomi.
